Aaron's Birthday

Today we quietly celebrated Aaron's 7th birthday. Grammie and Grandpa were here, and we had sandwiches and ice cream cake. He received a few gifts and then we went to see Night at the Museum. Pretty quiet and uneventful, but that is not all bad!

Aaron had his cast cut off on Wednesday and is now wearing a bivalved brace. It is more heavy duty than his other braces in the past to help support his leg. He will need to wear this for 2 months at least. Once his bone is hardened sufficiently, the cast will be cut down.

It is truly amazing that since the fixator came off, he is walking all around. The plan was that he was supposed to walk fine with the fixator. That never really happened and he required the wheelchair more than anticipated. His PT was saying that the fixator must have just really been bothering him too much. He even played out at recess on Friday. Ethan said that he was playing football with him. After I picked myself off the floor because I had passed out, Ethan assured me that they were merely playing pass. Well, that's OK. It's a good thing I don't know everything that goes on . . . .

Happy Birthday, little Aari!
