Jonathan and I had to take Aaron back down to Children's on Wednesday for another infection. Dr. Snyder x-rayed his leg again to see how it was healing. He is moving ahead with plans to remove the bottom part of his fixator next Thursday. Aaron's tibia is not healed enough to remove it all. The surgery next week will be a quick day surgery. So, we are hoping for a quick recovery too.
Dr. Snyder put Aaron on bactrim again, but Aaron had an allergic reaction to it. He had hives and was itchy. Once I gave him some benedryl, he was fine. We waited all day for him to be put on another antibiotic. I am hoping that this will do the trick. His ankle (where the infection is located) is very swollen and painful.
We are hoping for an uneventful last day of vacation.
