As I write today, Aaron and I are snuggled at home under blankets and doing some major cuddling. The past several nights Aaron has not been sleeping well (and neither have I), and I think that is taking a toll on our health. Both of us have the beginnings of a cold, and I figured it would be better to stay home and rest rather than push it at school.
Yesterday (Monday), Aaron and I did go to school for the morning. He did very well, and I was out of the room all morning. I am feeling more confident that he will be able to be there without my help. Mrs. Peterson has been helping him at school, and she is very good to him. I enjoyed doing some volunteer work while I was there. We had a busy afternoon with piano, and Ethan also had Cub Scouts. We rushed through pin cleaning and turning the pins. Then, the whole family enjoyed some cuddling while we listed to Adventures in Odyssey.
Aaron was a trooper this morning and came to my bible study with me. As I said earlier, I decided not to take him to school today. At the church, he walked to the bathroom, and at home just now, he walked to the bathroom. This is a huge accomplishment for him!! I am very proud of his hard work. I am beginning to see that he will be able to ambulate a bit more as this process continues. His pain during the pin turning has been a bit better too. It appears that turning each screw a little bit at a time is helping.
We have no plans for the rest of the day, and we are looking forward to having Ethan home. Tomorrow, Aaron has an appointment at Children's. He will be getting X-rays, and I will be anxious to see what they look like!
