Nice Fall Weekend

Our family had a pretty nice weekend. Ethan and I were busy with his gymnastics and some Cub Scout duties. I also had a massage, which was really nice because my back is pretty sore. Aaron and Daddy stayed home and watched cartoons. We played some games and got him ready for bed. Nana and Papa came over to watch the boys, and Jonathan and I went out for dinner. It was nice to get away for a bit, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving for too long. We had to get back to see how the boys were doing. I remember that was how it was when the boys were little babies too.

Jon braved watching the Sox game with me for a bit, and I watched the rest while the Coppeta boys slept. Aaron had a little bit of a rough night - he was tossing and turning and complained of a sore throat.

We all woke up late this morning, and Aaron was not a happy camper for sure. He warmed up as the day went along. He had quite a few visitors this afternoon which helped perk him up too. We just finished up the nightly routine, and we are getting ready for an early bedtime. Not sure if I will be able to watch the Red Sox tonight! Aaron is going to school tomorrow for a couple of hours in the morning. So, we will have to be on our toes to get out the door in the morning.

We are all doing well, and we are enjoying lots of family time. It's funny sometimes that an extended illness or in this case a big surgery causes the family to come back together. Although we are constantly occupied at home, I like having us all together and not running off to this or that. We have enjoyed playing some family games and eating more meals together too. I believe that this is strengthening our family.
