For the first night since surgery, Aaron slept upstairs in our room on the floor on his matress. Aaron and I had a quiet morning. Ethan had to catch a ride with a friend because we all got up a little late!! I was able to catch up with couple of friends on the phone which was really nice.
We got dressed and ready to go because Aaron went to school for a visit and for a computer class! He was so very thrilled to see his friends in Mrs. Iannuzzi's class. The kids had made a banner for him (see below) and were very excited to see Aaron. They treated him like a rock star. All the kids settled in for a computer lesson (along with Aaron at a special table provided for him). After the lesson, Aaron was able to talk about his surgery, show the kids his leg, and answer any of their questions. The kids had really good questions and were very supportive of Aaron.
Aaron was yawning by the end of the visit, but really psyched to be back with his classmates. We will go again on Monday for a couple of hours.
I'm cooking up yet another meal provided for us. Mrs. Maroon, Ethan's teacher from last year, made us this meal. She had promised that she was going to cook us lizard lips, but it looks like a really good pot pie! I can smell it as I type.
Ethan, Aaron and I are looking forward to having Jon home for the weekend. We were supposed to get our new dryer tomorrow, but it looks like it won't be delivered until Wednesday. I never realized how much we used and needed our dryer! We have been able to use several people's dryers to keep up with the laundry. We appreciate it.
