Discharged Home

Midday today Aaron was discharged home. He was excited to get home, but I was a bit nervous! Having 24 hour a day nurse coverage is a comforting thing. I hope that Jonathan and I can handle the care at home. It was very similar to the feeling that I had after both Ethan and Aaron came home from the hospital when they were born.

After a bit of trouble getting all the pain medication filled at various pharmacies, we made our way home. Aaron slept on the way home and then for a bit more once he got home. Grammie, Grandpa, and Ethan had the house ready for him. The downstairs was transformed into a hospital room for now. We enjoyed some food prepared by loving friends - thank you!

I'll write more tomorrow as we settle in. We are tired but, overall, glad to be home.

Oh! I am so glad to hear that you are home safe and sound. You have been in my thoughts and prayer all weekend long. Hoping you are able to get some much deserved rest! Let me know if you need anything. Love, Mrs. Iannuzzi

Hi Aaron,

We miss you here at school. What a brave guy you are. I thought that maybe I'd let you and Ethan borrow the magic blue dabloon and try a few tricks of your own at home.

I don't think that I ever told you or your family, but I grew up with a boy named Randy that had the same leg surgery as you did. He is old like me now and doing great!!! Don't tell Randy, but I think that you are bigger, stronger and braver!!

I just wanted you to know that we are all thinking about you and hope you are doing well. Before I go, I have a quick joke for you.
How do you catch a unique rabbit?
You "neek" up on him!!! How do you catch a tame rabbit? The tame way!!!
Take care. Next post I'll tell you my pea soup joke.
