Ice Storm!

The posts are now getting further and further apart. I guess that is good because Aaron is doing very well.

For the past week, our community has been picking up after the ice storm. We lost power for 5 days. Isn't that amazing? It bothers me how dependent we are on electricity. My parents were here for the beginning because my dad was building Aaron a ramp. The first night we stayed ina hotel - which was very exciting for the kids. We had a flat screen TV in every room! For the rest of the time, we stayed with Jonathan's parents which was very nice. Just about the time we were going to wear out our welcome, the power came on! Most of my friends still do not have power - going on a week now.
Ethan says that: "the ice storm was horrible!"

In addition, the kids have been both sick. Aaron has a cold and a fever and Ethan now has conjunctivitis and is contagious. No school for these monkeys! So, it looks like they will not be going to school until January!

Here are some pictures from a few weeks ago. We had fun with the O'Neil family at the Salem mall. There is a lot of space for Aaron to wheel around. He came close to taking a few people out! Here is a picture of the boys with Eilis and Connor.

Despite being ill, Aaron toughed it out at PT this week. He was in a lot of pain and did not have fun. I was trying to figure out how to handle it on the way home. When we arrived home, there were a huge stocking from the Ladies Benevolent Society at our church! It was filled with goodies and toys and fun activities. Aaron (and Ethan) were very happy. Here is a picture! So, this was a good thing after a tough day.

Later on that night, Aaron got another present from the deacons from church. I'm telling you, he was a very spoiled boy that day. Ethan and Aaron had a great time playing with everything and eating all the goodies.

We are thankful for all the love and support that we continually receive! Hope everyone is enjoying a good Christmas season. We have been enjoying cookie baking and ornament making especially.
